The Martin Place
I enjoy making all kinds of art, including pen-and-ink illustrations, watercolor pet portraits, logos and t-shirt designs, and oil paintings. Working as a high school art teacher for the past 20 years in McKinney has challenged me to be diverse in my artistic pursuits. My favorite work gravitates toward landscape and skyscape paintings, though more recently I’ve experimented with modifying and distorting these landscapes. Some of these distortions explore the gravitational lensing that occurs at the edges of black holes and other work plays with bilateral symmetry to create unique cloud compositions.
