"I am a visual artist based in McKinney, TX, originally from India. I work in Indian folk art styles of Madhubani, Kalamkari and Godna. Having spent most of my life in India, these art traditions unconsciously became a part of me and my aesthetics. My work celebrates the intricate line work and patterns, cultural motifs and storytelling rooted in these ancient art forms. I also explore watercolor, acrylics and hand building pottery. My inspiration comes from nature, community and the belief that art is a universal language that needs no translation."
