Laurie Lindemeier
Painter, Urban Sketcher
The Cove (Map #21)
While creating her paintings and sketches, Laurie Lynn Lindemeier looks for unusual settings and strives to represent the shadows, lines, and colors that make the scene interesting. She wants the viewer’s breath to catch in their throat for a moment when they see something unexpected in her work. Laurie searches for the underbelly meaning in a moment and strives to capture that in her work. She strives for a stream of passion in her art... striking lines and shapes are vital. Laurie's paintings lead the viewer’s eye through the image to probe their minds to expand to new perspectives.
As a classical singer Laurie’s sound must flow passionately. She strives for that passion stream in her art. Through her work, Laurie encourages women to find self-worth and bring new meaning to, “Don’t make me use my opera voice.” Laurie grew up on a Minnesota farm, studied at the University of Exeter, U.K., was a German nanny, and has painted in Ireland, Greece, and Paris.
