"As a self-taught artist, I am inspired by local nature, from my sprawling flower garden and its welcome pollinators to the breath-taking cloudscapes and landscapes of North Texas. I am a traditional oil painter whose main focus is on florals, still life, and landscape oil paintings. Along with a passion for bold colors, I bring in elements of floriography and the psychology of color to add underlying meanings to each piece. I'm a believer in and practitioner of Pulchrism, the theory of beauty for beauty’s sake."
