A life-long learner and creative, with a chemistry background, Melissa loves the science behind the creative process of mixing clay and glaze chemistry and then adding heat. Her body of work is an expression of this exploration which often tests various combinations of these variables. Creatively, Melissa most enjoys creating functional pottery on the wheel with styles and colors that reflect her love of travel to the beach, mountains and internationally.
